NOV. 5 DINE OUT TO HELP OUT EVENT

There is perhaps nothing more satisfying than eating great food knowing that a portion of your payment is going to a great community cause. We were elated that so many locally owned restaurants donated a part of their proceeds on Tuesday, November 5 to support The 1105 Project!

Bob’s Your Uncle, 2208 N. Dodge St., Iowa City–Menu
Comfort food, served by friends, featuring a huge menu of comfort food, including 35 different gluten-free items, daily specials, and award-winning pizza, served at lunch and dinner.  Bob’s Your Uncle contributed 10% of its lunch and dinner sales to 1105 on Nov. 5! Delivery available!

Devotay, 117 N. Linn St., Iowa City–Menu
Featuring traditional (and not-so-traditional) Tapas, Pintxos & Paella from the myriad cuisines of the Iberian peninsula, as well as other influences from all over the world, Devotay contributed a portion of its proceeds from food sales that day between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

El Bandito’s Mexican Restaurant & Bar, 327 E. Market St., Iowa City–Menu
“The best little taqueria in Iowa City,” which also offers gluten-free options, contributed 10% of  its sales from 4-9 p.m. on November 5 to 1105.

Hamburg Inn No. 2, 214 N. Linn St., Iowa City–Menu
This Iowa City landmark, open 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., agreed to match free-will donations to 1105 up to $200! Look for our free-will donation jar by the register.

Micky’s Irish Pub & Grill, 11 S. Dubuque St., Iowa City–Menu
Irish eyes were smiling upon 1105 as the owners agreed to donate a portion of their food revenues that day to 1105!

Midtown Family Restaurant, 200 Scott Ct., Iowa City–Menu
The east-Iowa City version of this family-friendly restaurant contributed 10% of its sales for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (7 a.m. to 9 p.m.) on November 5! Onion rings, tenderloins, chicken-fried steak … mmm!

Midtown Family Restaurant 2, 1061 Hwy. 1 West–Menu
The west-side version of this family-friendly restaurant also contributed 10% of its sales for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (7 a.m. to 9 p.m.) on November 5! Both locations offer a wide variety of options on the menu!

Monica’s, 302 Second St., Coralville–Menu
This locally-owned restaurant features American favorites, Italian specialties, and brick-oven pizza. The owner contributed 10% of lunch and dinner food sales (11 a.m. to 10 p.m.) to 1105! Be sure to try the steak and gorgonzola panini with a signature salad on the side, laced with pears, walnuts, and fried brie.

Oasis-The Falafel Joint, 206 N. Linn St., Iowa City–Menu
Every  day, this downtown restaurant serves up Mediterranean cuisine using fresh, healthy, and ancient ingredients such as olive oil, sesame seeds and garlic, plus … a great big dash of love! The owners contributed 10% of their proceeds that day (11 a.m. to 9 p.m.) to The 1105 Project. Let’s pay that love forward!

Okoboji Grill Iowa City, 1857 Lower Muscatine Rd., Iowa City–Menu
Where good friends meet, this east-side Iowa City restaurant contributed 10% of its proceeds between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. November 5 to 1105! It’s lunch and dinner menu include gluten-free and vegetarian options.

One Twenty Six, 126 E. Washington St., Iowa City-Dinner Menu
If you mention that you are dining at this French American Bistro to support The 1105 Project between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., the owner took $4 off your your dinner entrees and 10 percent of your dinner ticket was donated to 1105.

Pagliai’s Pizza, 302 E. Bloomington St., Iowa City–Menu
An Iowa City tradition for more than 50 years, the owner of Pagliai’s contributed 20% of its food sales proceeds to 1105 on November 5!

Sanctuary Pub & Restaurant, 405 S. Gilbert St.–Menu
Serving great food and savory brews in Iowa City, the Sanctuary’s delectable menu includes Sheppard’s Pie, a grilled Gruyere sandwich, Pizza Fontina, and a vanilla creme bruleé. The owner contributed 20% of his food sales 4-11 p.m. on Nov. 5 to 1105.

Takanami, 219 Iowa Ave., Iowa City–Menu
Sushi. Teppanyaki. Entrees. Cocktails. All this and more is available at this Asian-fusion restaurant featuring seasonal local ingredients. The owner contributed 10% of proceeds to 1105!

The Mill, 120 E. Burlington St., Iowa City–Menu
This local favorite for food and music contributed 50% of its food sales 11 a.m. to midnight on November 5 to The 1105 Project! It’s menu features great pizza and sandwiches (try the vegetarian black bean burger!).

Trumpet Blossom Café, 310 E. Prentiss St.–Dinner Menu
This new vegan restaurant in Iowa City is a favorite among 1105 volunteers and supporters. The owner contributed 10% of dinner proceeds  to our campaign. Check out that menu! Can you say Hot Peppered Citrus Marinated Tofu with Polenta? We are practicing!
